What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms and Subscription information is maintained to send you invoices and/or regular notifications about your account or important industry information.

You have the right to unsubscribe at any time. QuixTec also will allow you to contact us and inquire about what information we have about you. You have the right to “be forgotten”. You can ask us to remove your data entirely and unsubscribe from our services. We let you own your contact data and will abide by your request.

QuixTec, LLC does not share or market your data. It is used for our own business processes, such as invoicing, and for marketing our offers. Some information may be available to our 3rd party vendors who have agreed to confidentiality of your data. You have a right to know what data is available to 3rd party vendors.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

QuixTec, LLC does not share or market your data with anyone.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely unless you contact us and request “to be forgotten”. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information provided in user profiles. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. “Right to be forgotten”. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

We do not share or send you data externally. It is used for our business purposes only.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information

Your contact information is considered to be Personal Identifiable Information, PII and we give you control over it. If you want to know what information we gathered about you send us a request via our Contact Us form. We will respond within 30 days.

You have the right to ask us to delete your PII entirely. “Right to be forgotten”.

You data is maintained on a secure server. The website contains an SSL and the regular domain redirects to the SSL site. Your data is not shared or marketed.

If there is a data breach we will notify you within 5 working days upon discovering it and to what extent the breach occurred.

We do not receive or send data to third parties.

We determine the amount of interest you have in our products for marketing purposes. We never share your data. The more interest you show in our products, through successive visits to our website and responses to emails and forms, the greater chance we may contact you and request a meeting to see if we can answer questions or offer suggestions.
